Our Commitment to Privacy
RouteGlow is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your data never leaves your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information or workout data to any server.
Data We Access
RouteGlow requests read-only access to the following data from Apple Health:
- Workout route data (GPS coordinates) for supported activity types
- Workout metadata (date, duration, distance)
We do not access heart rate, weight, sleep, nutrition, or any other health data.
Data Processing
All data processing happens locally on your iPhone. Route data is read from Apple Health, rendered as a heatmap, and displayed on your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, and no analytics.
Data Sharing
When you use the share feature, you control what's shared. The app generates an image of your current map view which you can then share through iOS's standard share sheet. We don't have access to where or how you share this image.
Privacy Masking
RouteGlow includes a privacy masking feature that lets you blur areas around your home or other sensitive locations when sharing. This helps protect your privacy when posting heatmaps to social media.
Third Parties
We do not share your data with any third parties. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service we use is Apple's App Store for purchase processing.
